Photocopies of three letters written during the Civil War by the Askew brothers of Hamilton County, Ohio, Robert, James, and Matthew, to their sister Hannah in England; Robert was a clergyman, James served with Co.A, 12th Ohio Volunteer Infantry, and Matthew served with Co.D, 1st Ohio Volunteer Infantry. Includes a copy of Matthew's pension application and typed transcripts of the letters.
